Our League started in 1955 under the leadership of Jim Bainbridge of Pacific Bell and many other volunteers in Turlock, California. The first games were played under the lights on the Turlock High School Varsity baseball field on the corner of Berkeley and Marshall (today known as the “B” Diamond). Located in the Central Valley of California, between Modesto and Fresno, we were associated with ‘California District 10’ until 2012 when we split and became a New District known as ‘California District 73’. Today, Turlock has two leagues for our kids to participate in, Turlock American & Turlock National. Over the past 60 years, many players have participated and learned to play, fail, succeed and love the game of baseball, a tradition that will continue for generations to come.
